Out of the Closet
This sounds like something my mother would say: “Closets are for clothes.”. And yet for years, I would store my dirty old yard tools in a closet off the kitchen, because it was the only place in the house that I could keep them. So a few years back, I decided to get one of the affordable garden storage solutions I’m sure you’ve seen in catalogs and carried by online retailers. Wow, what a difference.
First of all, now my tools and garden implements are stored safely in rugged vinyl storage buildings which are actually designed for tools, with hangers and pegs for every conceivable size and shape of shovels, rakes, garden hoses and more. And now they are stored in close proximity to where they are regularly used. I no longer traipse back and forth into the house, tracking all manner of the outdoors inside in the process. When I need a shovel, I simply open the door to my garden storage, and take what I need. But the best part is that my wife has been able to reclaim that closet for…you guessed it….clothes.
