Seeking High Speed Internet Service Providers by Zip Code

July 23rd, 2010

There is a reason why you can find high speed internet service providers by zip code – they want to make it easier for you to know they are there! While that does make it a little easier for them to sell their wares, it also makes it easier for the subscriber to get the right service for their needs. DSL internet most assuredly is among the best systems available because it provides a crystal clear signal at speeds much faster than the traditional and, dare it be said, outdated dialup connection. April 20th, 2010

If you prefer not to wear a cheaply made plastic name tag on your lab coat, this is a site you would certainly want to know about. Who doesn’t want to wear a name tag that stands out a little? A Vinyl Shed is the Perfect Place for Collectables

March 19th, 2010

When I first met my husband, he was trying to make a living as a singer songwriter. He still enjoys playing in a band with his friends, but he has moved onto a new career as a sound engineer. He has not; however sold any of his guitars, banjos, or music stands and other equipment that he collected when he played music all the time. I finally convinced him to look at all the shed buildings that are on the market because he has so much musical equipment that would store very nicely and he would not have to purge it. Sterling Silver Jewelry Sets for a Great Look

January 13th, 2010

I like my sterling silver jewelry sets to match, but not be exactly the same. For instance, if I have a pair of cat earrings, I want the pendant to be a cat, but not the same cat. Recently I put together a great set from this website, and it was so much fun. I love .925 sterling, and they have a lot of it here. But the best part was that there were variations of some of the designs, so I could do my thing with the “mostly matching but not quite” idea pretty easily. Not to be mysterious, it was a silver monkey pendant and a different pair of silver dangly earrings. But still a monkey design! Are you following all this? I do tend to ramble sometimes. Beat the odds with survival knives

November 30th, 2009

If you are into outdoor excursions then you must have heard people telling stories about   how they survived in the jungle for days without any outside help. Many would think it to be easy and it is if you have proper gear and know how to use it. Can you imagine yourself surviving without having to cut a part of your cloth to cover your exposed wound or a part of tree to make a cane (long thin piece of wood) or the flesh of a small animal you hunt? It’s impossible to achieve all this without a long sharp knife. And this is where camping equipment & gear come into play. Read the rest of this entry »

The Scots Pine Makes a Fine Addition to Any Bonsai Garden

November 20th, 2009

The Scots Pine, sometimes called the Scotch Pine, is a great outdoor bonsai tree for those living in climate zones four through nine. This bonsai, scientifically called the pinus sylvestris, tends to naturally grow in what bonsai traditionalist call the bonsai literati style. This means its branches will spread horizontally without much need to guide them. This makes the Scots Pine a great beginner bonsai for those who are just getting started out or for those who like the look of a bonsai but don’t really understand how to grow them. The Scots Pine features reddish brown bark that is scaly to the touch. Over time, the bark turns grayer. The needles, which are stiff and often twist, also change color over time, starting out gray-green and shifting to blue-green. The Scots Pine grows small cones that are about the same size as the needles (one to three inches long). Read the rest of this entry »

This Christmas Get Personal With Your Gifts

November 3rd, 2009

Now that Halloween has passed our thoughts start to turn to the Holidays. Of course Thanksgiving is a holiday that if you are like me, you really look forward to. Now the cool thing about Thanksgiving is that it’s just about giving thanks. It’s not a gift giving holiday which is great because Christmas follows it very closely.

And that’s why I get started with my Christmas shopping early. Also I like to get my gift recipients personalized presents. I shop at Eye Candy Gift Shop where I can find loads of great gift ideas and I know I can get a great price.

This year I noticed that Eye Candy Gift has added a Christmas gift category where all the items have a Christmas theme. If you want a personalized ornament, you don’t have to page through hundreds of gifts (like you may have to at other websites), you just view all of them and a few other great Christmas gift ideas in one spot. If you get more than one item, say two ornaments, you can get a discount on the second item – a 25% discount. Shop soon because I don’t know how long this great deal will be offered.

Shower Filter Helped With Hard Water

August 25th, 2009

I had a very bitter experience in my previous house with hard water.  Though our house was massive, luxurious and comfortable in all respects with sprawling garden, etc. the hard water the local municipality provided us made our life miserable, as it spoiled all my utensils and other important fittings in the bathrooms and the kitchen.  We were so sick of it all that we even toyed with the idea of disposing the house and settling else where the water was good.  If only filtered shower heads were known to us then! Cheap Sheds Made for Tight Spaces

August 20th, 2009

Gardening is what gets me out on the weekends and makes me a happier person during the week. Waking bright and early after a full week of work, I can’t wait to get my hands dirty. I love watching the progress of the new sprouts from my garden and anticipating what lucky vegetables will be up next sizzling on my stove. But, this past spring I realized that my passion for gardening was getting a bit out of control. I needed storage space for all my supplies in my cramped backyard. I gave a long hard thought into shed kits after watching one of those ever helpful TV shows and realized that this could be my solution. Read the rest of this entry »
